It was a SUCCESSFUL week.....

It was a week of "eating clean" and I did a good job! I'm proud of myself this week. I ate well. No "white" stuff (flour, sugar, etc). I exercised 5 days this week...woo-hoo!! I worked out for a total of 4.5 hours. Yeah!! Eating well and exercising every day paid off, I lost 2 pounds this week. So there is success. I will continue down this road this week. My goal each week is to do at least three days of each....yoga, cardio, weights...what this amounts to is my doing yoga a couple evenings a week and on Saturday morning.

It's Halloween and I have not eaten one piece of candy that we have in the house. Success....

My big SUCCESS story of the week: Today I went to lunch at Red Robin with my small group. I ordered a salmon burger with the sauce on the side and cantelope. That way I could dictate how much was on my sandwich by only putting a little bit for the flavoring. After we ordered, the waiter comes out with SEVEN baskets of french fries with ranch and a bbq ranch dipping sauce. Oh, my gosh! Are you kidding me? I love those dipping sauces! I looked at Sarah and was like oh, my, I want some. Her words to me, "If you have one, you'll want more, so don't eat any." And she was so right. AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANY!! NONE, ZERO, ZIP!! My sandwich came....with french fries....I had ordered the fruit. So I dumped the fries in one of the other fry baskets and got my fruit. Can I just say I was so proud of myself today.

Stay tuned for next weeks success story!

Eat Clean Diet

So I read a new and very informative book this week. I am going to be doing the Eat Clean Diet, which isn't really a diet just changing the way I approach things. It made so much sense to my brain. So I grocery shopped yesterday and bought lots of good things for the family to eat...more fruits and veggies and natural foods. This morning I weighed in at 212.6 pounds, 55.5% body fat. I also learned that eating clean is what my Aunt Sandy did to lose all of her weight last year. Prayers for success with eating and working out.
